Before applying and finally deciding that Cluj was where I would like to spend the next 6 years of my life, I had done as much research as I could about the city and the university. I often find blogs very helpful in giving honest opinions, and endeavoured to search for one written by a British student studying medicine here in UMF Cluj. Unfortunately I was unlucky in my search however I did find many useful ones written by current students from Sweden and Germany. (Will provide links soon)
I hope this blog will serve as a resource for students thinking about studying here in Cluj but also provide useful information about life as a medical student.
Going to university is such a big jump from high school and as I have heard many times, some of the best few years of our lives. I want to share this with my loved one and also with my future self- perhaps laugh about all the funny memories and remind myself of the challenges I will have (hopefully) overcome.
Anyways, less talk, more photos.
22/09/2013 : Goodbye England, goodbye to my little town. Love and hugs for my family, friends and teachers who have supported me so much these past few years. I will always be grateful for your time and generosity. <3
Cluj Napoca: the view from one of the restaurants located above a mall in the city centre. |
I have just realised how inappropriate my top was for the photos. Haha! I was anything but bored! My poor excuse is that I did not want to waste any valuable time unpacking all my clothes, when I was fortunate enough to have my mum here with me for the first few days. |
Perhaps not the prettiest bridge but nevertheless I remember how relaxed I felt to have finally arrived and got the keys to my new apartment. |
More posts to come. Wishing you all a good day!
